Back in Greece after almost 17+ years, so many good memories of simpler times, and not much has changed fortunately. Still just as beautiful, from the people to the food to the scenery. Chania is a small coastal town on the western coast of Crete, rather touristy but has some lovely markets and beaches and a stunning new Autograph collection hotel called Domes Noruz Chania. If you need to take a breath, good spot for it and quick direct flight from London.

| Greek light, like no other |
Happened to be there after a colder winter than usual so swimming with snow on the mountains was a bit surreal, especially in Greece. But the sun still shines and the family run restaurant across the street from the hotel is great for some Greek salads and Ouzo, open late into the evening and much better option than the touristy spots in town.

Greece will always be amazing, for so many reasons, an old soul, beautiful inside and out with just the right amount of chaos. Second to Italy, definitely life worth living. Some places just do it right...count me in.
