Nature, Food and Wine - couldn't ask for a better combination. And don't forget the Nike employee store and a fine sampling of craft beers. Although Portland has its share of hippies and hobos, it is an incredibly creative and compelling city with many Hidden Gems. And yes, have a Voodoo donut, why not?! Keep Portland Weird or Keep Austin Weird - how about both! A great walking city to explore.

Must Do's
1) Portland Restaurants: Le Pigeon (local, farm to table) and Ava Gene's (Italian) are both amazing restaurants. Gravy is great for breakfast and a lovely area to walk around and shop. Check out the eccentric Sunlan Lighting store on Mississippi Avenue for some inspirational home decor ideas. For a summer evening cocktail, go to the Nines roof bar for Asian bites and views of the city.

Lush Nature all around you... |
4) Hood River Restaurants: Doppio for Breakfast, Double Mountain Brewery for Lunch, and Brian's Pourhouse for Dinner. Get ready to eat alot of meat and sausage - which is ok since there are plenty of hiking trails to burn it off.
