London Living #1
I want to dedicate this post to all the people that love honestly
and build up and hope and dream and share and explore and create good in this
world. It is what travel is all about and it makes me incredibly happy to
believe that those people are out there and those are the only people that I
will let into my world and into my heart. Thank you, I am forever grateful for your love and goodness and passion. For making this world a better place to
live, love and explore.
London is amazing – it already feels like home and the
amount left to see, hear, and feel excites me every day. The greenery, the
gardens, the flowers, the parks – it's my favorite part. The countryside is even
better and lying in the grass this past weekend watching the meteor shower in
full effect epitomizes the simplicity of life that I love and so needed. Lots
of friends coming through town so here is the quick rundown to date of the very
best and brightest of London town:

Restaurants:
- 10 Greek Street – delicious mediterrenean
- Palomar – modern Israeli with great drinks, make rez well in advance
- Social Eating House – great bespoke cocktail bar
- The Commander Bar – great oysters and rose (fish & chips good too)
- Masala Zone – amazing Indian despite being a chain
- Prince Bonaparte – the best burger as of right now
- Granger & Co. – simple, healthy, great gin & tonics
- Taqueria – surprisingly good Mexican, love the aqua fresca
- Farmacy – daughter of Harrod’s owner, so healthy, fresh, great
- Daylesford Organice – café and grocery store, love the whole vibe
- Borough Market for delicious street food and farmer’s market
- The Shed - Notting Hill - butter with meat drippings, you won't regret
- Sometimes you don’t need a restaurant, just do a grocery shop at Waitrose!
- Intimissi for some lovely Italian lingerie
- Sloan Square for some great European chain stores like Zadig & Voltaire and the oldie but goodies like All Saints and Club Monaco, my two favs of all time
- John Lewis for the not so domestic home goods
- Nottinghill for some random odds and ends
- Westbourne Grove for the daily basics and some unique home finds
- Covent Garden is great to wander into little boutiques, same with Canarby Street in Soho and a new find for me, The Kooples for romantic floral dresses

Just Fun
- The Royal Ballet – just saw the Bolshoi perform, storybook beautiful and so talented, it really can bring you to tears how much heart goes into it
- Afternoon Tea – 2 best options are Sketch Gallery for the trendy version or Ham Yard Hotel for cool, but more traditional in a beautiful setting (owned by Crosby Hotel in NYC so similar vibe and similar experience)
- Drinking outside any pub on a sunny day, gin and tonics of course!
- Embrace the British-ness of it all - arrived on Queen's 90th birthday and Brexit so alot of national pride (not so much on the 4th, just another work day. ha)
- Hyde Park – love every bit, the coffee shop by the Italian gardens is already a fav and the run through the sculpture garden is a must-do
