Smoky National Park, Tennessee
You can discover more about a person in an hour of play than in a year of conversation - Plato I'm convinced playing in the woods (or ocean!) can solve all life's problems - and remind you of the simple good in people & places. Highly recommend a big cabin with a stunning view and good bbq as you will cherish alot of sunrises and sunsets if you go this route. We stayed near Gatlinburg which gave easy access to the park so mornings and afternoons were dedicated to hiking - all the trails with waterfalls were key on our list as it was hot and Laurel was definitely the favourite. We went out to 1 amazing restaurant, the Greenbriar, for dinner and a great BBQ place for lunch, the Apple Mountain Valley Village & Cafe in Townsend. Other than that the Food City is great for groceries and the rest of the time is just spent outdoors!
