New Hampshire- Portsmouth

While we're in New England, let's go to my inherited home state - a small little gem tucked away between the ocean, mountains, lakes, and farms. My house used to be in the backyard of a farm - where  farm to table wasn't a trend, it was just the way to eat. It's a great place to grow up, grow old, and visit anytime of year - people are still friendly, say good morning, take it easy. And the seafood is amazing!

1) Have to love the motto: "Live Free or Die" and that there is not sales tax. Stress free vaca already!
2) Come in the fall for the leaves - it's amazing!
3) Portsmouth waterfront - drinks anywhere, anytime - especially at sunset and summer
4) Favorite Restaurants: Oar House and Mombo
5) Massage and brunch at Wentworth by the Sea

 Right Across the Border:
1) Stonewall Kitchen in York for all your favorites including blueberry pancake syrup!
2) Seafood @ Roberts - oysters and wine with my best friends for hours and then outlet shopping.
3) York beaches are great if you don't end up in Rye on the NH side
