Netherlands- Amsterdam

I've been a few times, and the most recent was in the dead of winter and it was still very fun! There are many cozy places and great new restaurants to keep you entertained and warm. We stayed with friends right along Herengracht so very local and close to shopping, attractions, and dining.

The Essentials

1) I still loved the flower market even though it was smaller than summer

2) Shopping is great - lots of great wool, boots, and cozy pieces 

3) Door 74 cocktail bar- tricky to get in but the best Moscow Mule I've ever had

4) Go to a grocery store to score some currants and lovely local finds

5) The Van Gogh museum is a must - worth an entire morning or afternoon with plenty to do in the area after - Massimo Dutti is my fav store there although it's finally in the US
