New Mexico- Santa Fe

Chili Peppers Hang Everywhere
Exploration of the US west continues in Santa Fe- if you just want to relax, this is the place. Spas, hiking, good restaurants, and endless stars in the sky await you. We came with no expectations and were surprised that the enchantment of this area is indeed alive. Be mindful of the elevation as most areas hover above 7,000 feet so drink lots of water and take it easy the first day. There is a lot to do in the area but we honestly laid low and came to relax - highly recommend that!

Must Dos
1) Depending on your scene, stay outside town at the Four Seasons for a real escape with cozy rooms with fireplaces, yoga, and an amazing spa. Or stay downtown at the Inn at Five Graces or Anasazi Hotel which are charming but with downtown flavor. Atleast have dinner or a drink at Anasazi.

2) Dining - the Compound or Anasazi for dinner were our favs. This was our first trip and there were a tremendous amount of delicious and new options, so explore away! For lunch, we stayed away from the tourist traps and went out of town to La Choza which was busy, delicious and full of margaritas.

3) Don't forget to stop at either Whole Foods in town for Hatch Chilis to take home.
4) Sites- nature nature nature. Visiting downtown plaza is cute and wandering around Canyon Road is great for local arts and cool finds, especially at the Wiford Gallery and the Tibetan store next door.
5) The pomegranate/strawberry juice deserves its own line - it's that good and served at the Four Seasons restaurant, Terra, for breakfast. Homemade strawberry jam too - yum.
